Kopachuck State Park Maternity Session
There’s something especially beautiful about documenting motherhood in a place that already feels peaceful and grounding. This maternity session at Kopachuck State Park in Washington was filled with soft coastal light, quiet connection, and the kind of slow moments that make this season of life feel unforgettable.
Nestled near Gig Harbor, Kopachuck State Park is one of my favorite locations for family photography in the Pacific Northwest. Between the driftwood shoreline, forest trails, and views of the Puget Sound, it offers such a natural and timeless backdrop for documenting growing families. The mix of beach and evergreen scenery makes it perfect for couples wanting that true Pacific Northwest feel in their photos.
As a Washington maternity photographer, I always aim to create sessions that feel relaxed and emotionally honest rather than overly posed. My goal is to document the anticipation, connection, and quiet in-between moments that make pregnancy such a meaningful chapter. Whether that looks like walking the shoreline together, holding each other close beneath the trees, or simply slowing down enough to soak it all in — those are the moments worth remembering.
